Who am I?
I’m a girl living in this crazy, fast paced world we all live in hoping to make a difference and inspire a change in others to be the best versions of themselves they can be. My passion in life is to show others how living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be hard and that it can be achieved with a little prep work. I’m a firm believer in the act of mindfulness. The body is always talking, we just have to learn how to take the time to listen to it.
I’m a wife, a mom, and a health nut! That doesn’t mean I sit around eating kale chips all day long, come on I’m human (I like cookies and pizza too)! It just means I work really hard at finding and maintaining balance in my life. I get stressed easily so I rely on food as medicine and use essential oils to help guide my emotions and health in the right direction towards healing.
I have a master’s degree in Exercise & Wellness. For years my focus was on the fitness aspect of health. I worked in multiple gyms, taught exercise classes, conducted personal training sessions, and devoted my focus to the physical aspect of health. Then, as life went on and I started facing my own health issues and seeing those I love do the same I started to shift my focus towards the nutrition side of health. I began to see the effects of how food could heal the body both physically and mentally.
What is the purpose of this site?
I’ve found that true wellness can be found not only from being physically active, but also by being well both nutritionally and spiritually. Life is journey and it’s our decision to make the best choices we can. I prefer to choose joy, practice gratefulness, and find the positive aspect in every situation. We all get lost in the stress of life and can forget such perspectives so that’s where friends and family come in to help guide us back. My goal is to be another voice to guide you in the right direction and inspire you to push through when life gets hard. Life is worth the fight, never give up on what you believe in. Always continue to be yourself, don’t lose sight of who you are by comparing yourself to others. I’ve fallen down this path before and it’s not healthy. If need be, remind yourself daily that you are loved and that you are enough!
